The Ferrari F50 first appears on the 1996 catalogue as a prototype but is presented in 1997 as a new model.

In 2000, Mattel negotiated with Ferrari the exclusive rights to reproduce its models.

Majorette had to modify its casting and the Ferrari F50 became Gran Turismo.
